UWA participated in the China-Africa Digital Cooperation Forum
On July 29, the China-Africa Digital Cooperation Forum was held in Beijing. Mr. Jin Zhuanglong, Minister of Industry and Information Technology of China, Mr. Alionne Sall, Minister of Information, Telecommunications and Digital Economy of Senegal, and Mr. Leon Ibombo, Minister of Post, Telecommunications and Digital Economy of the Republic of Congo attended and delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Zhang Yunming, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China presided over the opening ceremony and delivered a closing remarks. The forum was hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology with attendance from digital ministers and ambassadors from over 40 African countries including Guinea-Bissau, Gabon, Sierra Leone, Somalia and Tunisia as well as senior representatives from relevant international organizations.
Themed "Jointly Drawing a Digital Blueprint, Sharing Development Achievements," the forum witnessed the joint release of the "China-Africa Action Plan for Digital Cooperation and Development" by China and 26 African countries. During the forum, digital ministers from participating African countries commended China's remarkable achievements in digital communications and expressed their eagerness to learn from China's development experience and practices to accelerate Africa's digital transformation.
As a specially invited exhibitor, UHD World Association (UWA) showcased the latest achievements and future trends of ultra-high-definition (UHD) technology to government officials, industry leaders, and guests from both China and Africa.
At the exhibition booth, UWA set up a UHD technology display area, allowing participants to experience the stunning visual effects brought by UHD technology through a rich of HDR Vivid video content. Extensive discussions were also held with partners from African countries on promoting the popularization and application of UHD technology in Africa.
UHD technology has emerged as a pivotal factor driving the digital and intelligent transformation of the media industry, holding significant importance for the digital transformation of various sectors such as culture, education, and healthcare. UWA will continue to leverage its leading position in UHD technology, collaborating with partners in African countries to jointly promote the global popularization and application of UHD technology, contributing to the prosperous development of the global digital economy.
