UWA Attends the 11th GIO Roundtable

On February 28, 2023, the 11th GIO Roundtable was held simultaneously in Beijing and Barcelona. GIO (Global Industry Organizations) is an open and equal communication, dialogue and collaboration platform jointly launched by more than ten leading and cross cutting international industrial organizations in 2018, which promotes in-depth exchanges and cooperation in all walks of life around the world, aims to provide an open communication and exchange environment for global industrial organizations, and promote the collaborative digital transformation process of all industries and ICT fields. A total of 36 international industry leaders and experts from 27 industrial organizations participated in the conference through online access or on-site presence.

This conference invited guests to review the achievements of digital transformation of the industry under GIO's vision, and look forward to the future development trend; At the same time, it also focuses on "industrial digitalization" and "ICT enabling green development", shares the progress of industrial organizations' own exploration and cooperation, and clarifies the role that industrial organizations can play in these hot topics and the key topics that can be focused on.

Zhang Wengang, Secretary General of the UHD World Association (UWA), attended the conference in Beijing. He said that the UHD industry is facing transformation, and the industrialization and digitalization of content production are crucial. With the support of science and technology, cloud, 5G, AI and metauniverse will promote a broader market space. The digitalization and virtualization of content production also significantly reduce the repeated consumption of the physical world and reduce carbon emissions. It is expected that in this field, UWA will work with the industry to jointly promote industrial development.
