HDR Vivid Milestone: DVB Publishes Updated BlueBooks

The Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) Project has published updated DVB BlueBooks incorporating T/UWA 005 dynamic metadata (HDR Vivid) into its core video coding specification for broadcast and broadband services.
T/UWA 005, developed by the UHD World Association (UWA), defines a dynamic metadata format designed to support HDR dynamic mapping, enabling more optimized HDR experiences across devices and services.
With its inclusion alongside other HDR dynamic metadata technologies in ETDI TS 101 154, broadcasters and device manufacturers gain an expanded set of HDR solutions supporting codecs such as HEVC, AVS3, and VVC.
This marks another important step toward adoption of HDR Vivid and continued collaboration between international standards bodies and industry partners.
