Reflecting on 2025: Building Global Momentum Together

In 2025, UWA joined hands with 488 members across 23 countries and regions, collectively shaping a dynamic global ecosystem empowered by UHD technologies.

We successfully completed the Association’s leadership transition, electing the second Council, Standing Council, and executive leadership team. With 52 Council members and 13 Standing Council members, UWA has strengthened its governance foundation. A professional community of 1,000+ industry experts and 500+ standards experts continues to provide robust intellectual support for industry advancement.

Internally, we further enhanced governance standardization, issuing 35 management frameworks and significantly improving digital operational capabilities, driving higher efficiency in both decision-making and member services.

Advancing Standards, Driving Global Impact

Standards remained at the core of our mission. In 2025, UWA achieved dual breakthroughs in technology and standardization:

• Audio Vivid successfully incorporated into international standard systems including ITU and IEC
• Significant progress achieved for HDR Vivid within DVB and other international organizations

UWA standards continue to expand their global influence.

Expanding the Vivid Ecosystem Across Scenarios

Throughout the year, we deepened the Vivid ecosystem and extended UHD experiences beyond the living room:

• Over 1 million vehicles equipped with in-car immersive audio solutions
• Deployment of Vivid cinemas in 12 cities, bringing immersive audiovisual experiences to theatrical audiences
• More than 100,000 hours of Vivid content
• Over 5 million 3D audio tracks and thousands of audiobooks

From mobile screens to cinema giant screens, from smart cockpits to everyday entertainment, Vivid technologies are reshaping full-scenario lifestyle experiences.

Exploring New Frontiers: AI, Globalization, and Strategic Partnerships

In 2025, UWA ventured into new technological frontiers:

• Established the AI TO H Working Group, promoting UHD + AI integration across home, healthcare, and education scenarios
• Strengthened global collaboration with Avid, integrating Audio Vivid natively into leading professional audio production workflows
• Signed strategic cooperation agreements with international organizations including Khronos Group
• Conducted nearly 100 exchanges with 50+ overseas enterprises, building a truly global UHD collaboration network

Through 80+ global industry events, UWA continuously amplified ecosystem momentum. Meanwhile, our integrated multimedia communication strategy achieved 500+ million annual impressions, with cumulative brand exposure exceeding 15 billion across platforms, expanding the reach of the Vivid experience worldwide.
